U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., is co-author of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform and always has fought to limit the influence of big money in elections. He was right.
He has criticized the court’s “extreme naivete” in this decision. Corporations and unions have massive resources that can easily drown out the voices of American citizens and citizens’ groups, threatening our democracy.

Fox News is part of News Corp., controlled by Australian Rupert Murdoch. Saudi Arabian royal family member Prince Alwaleed bin Talal owns 95 percent of Kingdom Holding Co., which is News Corp.’s second-biggest shareholder.
So we have a corporation controlled by an Australian billionaire and a Saudi prince telling us that this radical Supreme Court decision is just defending old-fashioned “free speech.” It’s not!
Perhaps it’s time that we Americans stopped listening to them and really took our country back. As an old-time conservative and registered Republican, I am writing to my congressmen and getting my news elsewhere.
