MONTROSE - “The Vagina Monologues” is coming to Montrose to highlight domestic violence and sexual crimes against women.

An estimated 500,000 women and girls are raped and sexually tortured each year in the Democratic Republic of Congo. But women and girls in our own community also are scarred by domestic violence and sexual abuse.

In April, women will perform “The Vagina Monologues” to bring awareness of the “systematic destruction of the female population” in the Congo and raise money for fighting similar injustice here.
