The City of Montrose was awarded The 2013 All American City Award at approximately 8PM Sunday evening at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Downtown Denver. This award is the culmination of a lengthy citizen driven proposal which showcased our community as being focused on veterans through Welcome Home Montrose, redevelopment through Downtown Development Authority, and the reopening of The Montrose Lumber Mill - Montrose Forrest Products Inc. Many Montrose dignitaries were on hand to receive the award and highlight the great progress that has taken place in our community. Pretty cool, Montrose. People come forward to show they care about their community and about each other.

Good to see Montrose move forward. Sad to see Olathe slide backward.
