Corrugated Metal Pipe (Culverts)

Montrose County is requesting bids to provide Corrugated Metal Pipe. Bid packages may be obtained by contacting Dan Loncar at 970-252-7000.

Bid Forms must be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope marked “Culverts” and submitted to: Montrose County Administration, Attention: Dan Loncar, 161 S. Townsend, Montrose, Colorado 81401, no later than 11:00 a.m. our clock Monday, November 23, 2009. Bids received after this date and time will not be considered.

Bids will be opened and read aloud at 11:30 am our clock at the Public Works offices - 949 N. 2nd St. Montrose, CO.

Montrose County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids as deemed in the best interests of the County.

Fingerprint Scanner
System

Montrose County is accepting sealed price bids from qualified vendors for the purchase of one Fingerprint Scanner System. Please contact Airport administration 2100 Airport Rd., Montrose, CO 81401 or call (970) 249-3033 for a bid package.

Sealed bid packages must be submitted to: Montrose Regional Airport, Attn: Lloyd D. Arnold, 2100 Airport Rd., Montrose, CO 81401 by November 16, 2009 at 1:00 PM, our clock. Late bids will not be accepted.

Sealed bid packages must be marked:Fingerprint Scanner System, DUE November 16, 2009, 1:00 PM.

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on November 16, 2009 at 1:15 PM, MST at Montrose Regional Airport, 2100 Airport Rd., Montrose, CO 81401.

The Board of County Commissioners may award the bid to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. SNOW REMOVAL ON COUNTY ROADS

By order of the Board of County Commissioners, Montrose County, Colorado, the following roads will not be maintained or cleared of snow during the period from November 1, through May 1, of each ensuing year.
1. Black Canyon Road, past Poison Springs Road
2. Poison Springs Road from Black Canyon Road south to end
3. A Road (all)
4. JJ-58 Road and 5850 Road, from San Miguel County line north (all)
5. Q-72 Road, from 1.4 miles east of Kinikin Road to end
6. P-77 Road, from .8 mile N.W. of Big Cimarron Road to Hwy 50
7. Bostwick Park Road (lower), 4.14 miles from the Landfill Road to Bostwick Park
8. Buckhorn Road, from the first cattleguard to Buckhorn Lakes (Private Winter Maintenance from cattle guard to 7250 Road)
9. County Road 90, East (old Hwy 90) from Shavano Valley Road southwest to Divide Road
10. Dave Wood Road, from the Forest Boundary line south including II Road, and 5750 Road, 5850 Road and JJ58 Road to the San Miguel County Line (Private Winter Maintenance may be authorized on all or portions of this route.)

All roads not mentioned that are beyond the terminus of plowing operations are included without further reference.
No private maintenance equipment of any kind is allowed to perform maintenance on any of the above-mentioned roads or any County road without the express permission of the County. Such winter permission shall be permitted by a Winter Maintenance Agreement. The permit may be applied for through the Montrose County Public Works office located at 949 N. 2nd Street., Montrose, Colorado 970-252-7000.
Main arterial roads and school bus routes will receive first day priority. All other roads receiving snow removal shall be second day priority, or as manpower and equipment are available.

NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION PROPOSALS

1. Invitation: The Montrose County School District RE-1J Board of Education would like to invite Design Build Firms to submit Design Build Qualification Proposals for a multipurpose room addition at Cottonwood Elementary School. The project consists of an open area for multipurpose use with a estimated square footage for this project of approximately 3000 square feet. The design and construction must meet all Colorado construction codes for school buildings per.

2. Qualifications: Qualification package requirements are available at the Montrose County School District Property Services Office located at 930 Colorado Ave., Montrose, Colorado 81401. Contact Jason Arebalos or Brenda Bertossi at 249-2653 for a copy.

3. Requirements: Qualification packages must include completed pre-qualification information and a detailed CPM schedule showing the proposed construction process including the estimated start and completion dates. Additionally a preliminary budget estimate must be included. Not adhering to the outline provided or failure to provide the items listed under each heading may result in low evaluation scores. Proposals in excess of 100 text pages may not be reviewed. Submit 3 copies of the qualification package. Estimated completion date for this project is August 6, 2010.

4. Receipt of Proposals: Proposals must be received by 2:00 P.M. December 3, 2009. Proposals may be mailed to the Board of Education, Montrose County School District RE-1J, PO Box 10,000, or hand delivered to the care of the Superintendent at the School District Property Services office, located at 930 Colorado Avenue, Montrose, CO 81401. Upon receipt of proposals, a review will be completed and notification for interviews will be sent out. This interview list will be created based upon the pre-qualification information provided and factors such as past performance, willingness to meet time and budget requirements, location, and current and projected work loads. Interviews will be conducted at the Montrose County School District Office at 930 Colorado Avenue, Montrose, Colorado 81401.

5. Rights Reserved: The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept that proposal which appears to be in the best interest of the District. The bidder to whom an award is made may be required to enter into a written contract with the District and may be required to furnish bonds.

The project will include interior and exterior cameras, hard drive recorders, LCD monitors, power supplies and any other items specific to a complete Closed Circuit Camera System. The system and installation must meet all Colorado construction codes for school buildings.

2. Qualifications: A qualification form, floor plans and additional information for the proposal are available at the Montrose County School District Property Services Office located at 930 Colorado Ave., Montrose, Colorado 81401. Contact Jason Arebalos or Brenda Bertossi at 249-2653 for a copy.

3. Requirements: Estimated completion date for this project is January 31, 2010. Please include estimated start and completion dates. Proposals must include detailed specifications and information on the proposed system. Additionally, a not to exceed cost estimate must be included. Not adhering to the outline provided or failure to provide the items listed under each heading of the qualification form may result in low evaluation scores. Proposals in excess of 150 text pages may not be reviewed. Submit three (3) copies of the proposal. Upon receipt of proposals, a review will be completed and notification for interviews will be sent out. This interview list will be created based upon the pre-qualification information provided and factors such as: equipment proposed; warranty information; training to be provided on the use of the equipment; past performance on similar projects; willingness to meet time and budget requirements and bidders current or projected workloads. Interviews will be conducted at the Montrose County School District Office at 930 Colorado Avenue, Montrose, Colorado 81401.

4. Receipt of Proposals: Proposals must be received by 2:00 P.M. November 30, 2009.
