Events celebrate Easter this weekend

Posted: Friday, April 2, 2010 12:00 am

MONTROSE — The annual children’s hunt for Easter eggs kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday at Baldridge Park.

This marks the 37th annual Lion’s Club Easter Egg Hunt. And when Russell Stover Candies moved to Montrose several years ago, candy donations commenced, said Lion’s Club member John Shoup.

“They have donated candy for years,” Shoup said. “But unfortunately, other Lion’s Clubs as far away as Riffle have heard about this event and started asking Russell Stover for donations too.”
