DENVER — John Moore, the Cedaredge man who filed multiple lawsuits over the death of his elderly mother, has been barred from filing future actions in U.S. District Court unless he has an attorney or the court’s approval to represent himself.
A July 22 order imposes the sanction and dismisses the suit Moore filed June 1, which sought $5 million from the Delta Police Department for allegedly refusing to investigate his mother’s 2008 death.
Moore, who alleges his mother died from an overdose of prescription drugs, filed a notice of appeal July 29. “I won’t give up,” he said Wednesday. “My family’s civil rights are being violated and my mother’s.”
