Local Toys for Tots campaign kicks off Saturday

Posted: Thursday, November 15, 2012 2:00 am

The U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots Foundation is once again gearing up to help distribute toys at Christmas to less fortunate children in Montrose County.

The foundation is partnering with Montrose County Health & Human Services, Sharing Ministries, Montrose County School District, the city of Montrose, and several churches and organizations to collect new, unwrapped toys and/or monetary donations.

This year’s event kicks off with a special open house from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at Oxbow Crossing Shopping Center on South Townsend Avenue.
