Montrose, it turns out, is perfect for outdoor recreation, quiet living, gorgeous scenery — and zombies. Who knew?

Producers at an L.A -based independent film company, Abstract Forces, had a good idea, and that was just from what they could glean from Google Earth and their friend, Chayson Bean, son of Montrose local Lynne Bean.

“Los Angeles is a very difficult place to make a project,” said Robert Palmer of his and Michael Weiss’ plans to set their upcoming narrative zombie film, “I Am Alone,” in Montrose.

In talking with Bean, the men realized Montrose could quite literally afford them the opportunity to complete their project.
