Snafu leaves sex offender in limbo

Norwood residents question why Rock still on the streets

Posted: Thursday, October 4, 2012 2:00 am

Norwood residents are reportedly “mad as hell” that a sex offender who was supposed to be sent to a group home in Denver is still on the streets nearly two months after his July sentencing.

But the probation department says Thomas Rock was rejected from the Denver facility through no fault of his own, so efforts are under way to find an alternate placement.

A Norwood man contacted the Daily Press on Tuesday, complaining in a voice mail that Rock was not in Denver and that “people are mad as hell.”
