Area residents scour through Friendship Hall looking for hidden treasures during the annual flea market, which is sponsored by Montrose Women's Club Saturday afternoon. All the proceeds from the event get dispersed back into other community clubs, according to club president Carol Davis. The Montrose Women's Club, organized in 1949 to better the community, recently gave $3,500 to a local charitable organization. It is through fundraisers, like the weekend flea market, which make those donations possible. The next fundraiser is the club's Fall Arts and Crafts Show in November.
