Work on zombie film begins in earnest

Posted: Tuesday, June 11, 2013 3:00 am

Robert Palmer and Michael Weiss set out with the ambitious goal of crowd-funding their independent zombie flick, “I Am Alone.”

Efforts last year fell short, but a renewed push this year put the men, their partners and company Abstract Forces above their $25,000 goal on Kickstarter. With more than $27,300 pledged, the filmmakers will be heading to the place they believe is perfect for a shoot: Montrose.

“We had a town in our head that looked like this,” Palmer said Monday. “We just didn’t know a town like this actually existed. Now the hard part is the next few months preparing for all this.”
