Staff Report

Jill and Rick Myers are showcasing their work this month at the Montrose Center for the Arts.

Their exhibit, “Canopy of Colors: Through the Lens of New England,” opens Friday with a reception from 5 — 7 p.m. at MCA, 11 S. Park Ave. Enjoy live music with Kimah, light appetizers/desserts and cash bar.

The retired teachers merged their interests in photography, travel and history to create the photography exhibit of sights in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine, according to an online article written for the MCA by Kathryn Burke. The Myerses explored back roads, waterfalls, covered bridges and lighthouses and are presenting the images taken during their adventures, along with explanatory cards detailing the location and history of the shots.

The MCA can be reached at 970-787-9428 or mc4arts.com.
