Pounding the pavement in pink to fight breast cancer

Montrose walkers and runners turned out in force for Bosom Buddies 29th annual 5K walk/run, flooding the streets around the Montrose Pavilion with pink as walkers and runners of all ages — and a pooch or two — hit the pavement to support the regional breast cancer support group. Proceeds from the walk/run help Bosom Buddies support breast cancer patients and its other work. This year, through August, the nonprofit assisted 175 people with financial medical assistance and awarded three scholarships. To learn more, or to donate, visit bosombuddiesswc.org.
