Colorado Gives Day is today.
The 24-hour push to get Coloradans to donate to nonprofits is a statewide movement which celebrates and increases philanthropy through online donations.
In 2017, Colorado Gives Day raised $36.6 million in just 24 hours. In total 153,955 donations were made ranging from $10 to $1 million, making it the state’s largest day of giving.
Local nonprofits to which people can donate are HopeWest hospice and palliative care, PEER Kindess anti-bullying nonprofit, Black Canyon Boys & Girls Club, Hispanic Affairs Project, Black Canyon Regional Land Trust, Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans, The Dolphin House Child Advocacy Center, Community Options Inc., Montrose Community Foundation, Colorado West Land Trust, The Center for Mental Health and Uncompahgre/Com Inc.
To give, people can visit coloradogives.org. Donors can find nonprofits of choice by searching their region or their favorite nonprofit by name.
