Montrose will soon be running on Dunkin’.
Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins will start operations Monday in Montrose, according to a press release. The site, 1803 Townsend Ave., will have the grand opening from 6-10 a.m., with a ribbon cutting at 9.
The new location will be open from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Jordan Eads of JB Partners LLC is Dunkin’s franchisee for the restaurant and currently operates eight Dunkin’ restaurants throughout Colorado.
Established in 1950, Dunkin’ Donuts has more than 12,500 restaurants in 36 countries. There are about 20 locations on the Front Range, but the Montrose one is unique, as it will be the first franchise on the Western Slope.
Although some work was needed to prepare the building, the franchisee settled on 1803 S. Townsend Ave. for the new business (next to Comfort Dental at the intersection of South Townsend Avenue and Niagara Road), as previously reported.
Construction of the Dunkin’ Donut/Baskin-Robbins side of the building started in April last year
This is the second time a Baskin-Robbins will be in Montrose. From the early 1980s to the 2000s, the hard-serve ice cream spot was located across from Montrose High School.
Monday’s grand opening will also be a chance to get free coffee for a year. Starting at 5 a.m., Dunkin’ Donuts will give the first 100 patrons a coupon book for one free coffee a week for one year.
Additionally, the day will have donut decorating and giveaways.
