Some long-awaited relief may finally be in store for Montrose’s Intermountain Resources LLC, which has been purchased by a Wyoming-based company that plans to resume operations at the struggling sawmill as soon as possible.

Jim Neiman, vice president and CEO of Neiman Enterprises Inc., said he hopes to hire 85 to 90 people in the next 10 days. Officials at the Montrose Economic Development Corporation believe the number of direct and indirect jobs will likely exceed 500 if all goes as planned.
