Thursday evening, Jan. 12, the Olathe Pirates boys wrestlers faced off against Gunnison in a dual match. Olathe won the team battle by a score of 38-24.
Olathe's Trevor Piatt, 106 pounds, Tanner Westerman, 132 pounds, Westan England 138 pounds, Zachariah Goodman 144 pounds, Chase Ripley, 157 pounds all won by pinning their opponents.
Dominik Ortiz won by TF at 120 pounds by a score of 18-3. Jacob Avila won by decision with a score of 12-5 at 113 pounds.
The Olathe team will compete this weekend in the Mel Smith Tournament in Florence.
